Use of technology to reduce P&A costs and improve assurance

05 April, 2016

Debbie McIntosh, Head of Subsurface & Wells Practice, spoke on the ‘Use of technology to reduce P&A costs and improve assurance’ at the 8th Annual Decommissioning & Abandonment Summit, 23-25 February in Houston.

In her presentation, Debbie provided an introduction to some of the more innovative and disruptive P&A technologies, gave advice on how to quantify the potential cost saving and discuss how improved assurance must not be constrained by the current industry regulations.

Following the event Decom World published an article called 'Vessel, plug selection identified as keys to cost reduction' taking some of the key themes from Debbie's presentation.
